DEL CARMEN, SIARGAO - “More Love for Women Farmers” conference brings a powerhouse of multi-awarded women farmer entrepreneurs to Siargao, on Saturday, 23 February 2019 from 9AM to 5PM, at the Del Carmen Convention Center, Del Carmen, Surigao del Norte. The conference is free for all.
AGREA, together with the Office of Congressman Bingo Matugas, the Province of Surigao del Norte, and the Del Carmen LGU, brings this local iteration of the Leaders and Entrepreneurs in Agriculture Forum, or LEAF. LEAF is a community of champions across all sectors uniting as advocates for better agriculture.
“More Love for Women Farmers” aims to inspire Siargaonons to reinvigorate local agriculture with a special emphasis on empowering the island’s women. Attendees will include farmer leaders, women farmers, agricultural officers, teachers, students, and surrounding areas in Surigao del Norte.
Powerhouse women farmer entrepreneurs that will be speaking at the event include the “Dragonfruit Queen”- Edita Dacuycuy, the “Seedling Queen” – Daisy Duran, and “Multi-awarded Agriculture Change Maker” – Cherrie Atilano.
